Life On The Edge of A
Bubble
As debate in the media swirls about the financial crisis, a new documentary challenges conventional wisdom about American financial history, the free market and the current crisis. Life on the Edge of a Bubble illuminates the unstable history of the American financial system through the perpetual cycle of booms and busts that threatens the promise of the American Dream. A provocative and often humorous adventure, the film challenges conventional wisdom about the causes of the current crisis and leads the debate about solutions. Although
Americans are told that the crisis is too complicated for us to
understand, filmmakers William Lewis and Michael Berger disagree.
They made the film, “Life on the Edge of a Bubble,” to frame
the debate in an entertaining, accessible light.
Berger says, "We cannot afford to leave the resolution of this
crisis in the hands of politicians and lobbyists who created the problems
to begin with." "Americans must have a voice in the political
dialogue about financial reform," adds Lewis.
The filmmakers hope "Life on the Edge of a Bubble" will
provide the stimulus for a vigorous, populist discussion.
